SPICe+ Part A — Reserve Name secure your company name before you incorporate.

SPICe+ is the integrated web form through which companies are incorporated in India, and it has two parts. Part A is the name reservation stage — it is where a proposed company name is checked and reserved — and Part B covers the actual incorporation. Part A can be filed on its own to lock in a name first, or together with Part B as a single combined application.

Getting Part A right matters because the name is the foundation of the incorporation. A proposed name must be distinctive, must not be identical or too similar to an existing company or LLP, must not conflict with a registered trademark, and must comply with the naming rules — including the rules on restricted and undesirable words. A name rejected at Part A delays the whole incorporation.
